Some say that sitting is the new smoking. Sitting at home

Just face it we sit a lot in our new highly technological lives.

With the introduction of the computer we just sit, with the introduction of the car we just sit, with the introduction of the sofa we just sit.

Everybody isn’t talking about sitting in everyday life until now that is.. .because  . . .

. . .we sit a lot!

What that’s all about and how does this impact your health, productivity and success then?

Well it’s simple. Our muscles get all out of whack and the body attempts to adapt to the new way of life , which is great, as the human body is designed to adapt, however the body was not designed to sit for super long periods of time.

If that were the case we would be anatomically designed like a chair.

Most who sit a lot have muscle imbalances that create the new world issue that is now plaguing millions.sitting in thecar

Did you ever wake up one day and then something just hurt, hips, back, ankles, shoulder or neck?

And you probably blamed it on old age even though you are not old. If that’s the case then I guarantee you are out of whack!

Your body had adapted to sitting too long over a long period so you are now tasked with trying to do something about it.

Don’t get me wrong there are many other variables that contribute to this issue as well but that’s for another day.

So what do you do? . . . you go to the doctor and he or she gives you something for the pain. Now you are on the train of pain as you are not addressing the issue of creating balance.

So what should you do?

Wake up every morning and move, exercise, stretch, and breathe. It does not matter how you do it but make plan to walk, run, exercise and just move daily.Sitting at work

If you sit for long periods set a timer on your phone or watch to prompt you get up!! Every 30 – 45 minutes.

This will definitely help and you will not feel that your world is full of sit!
